The benefit evening opened to a new rose backdrop, which includes a star (upper left of rose) as a tribute to Bread & Roses founder Mimi Fariña. The concert was the first time in nearly three years that a world-class lineup like this had come together in support of Bread & Roses.
Close to 900 long-time supporters and new friends enjoyed an eclectic evening of superb musicianship and an hysterical performance by comedian/juggler Frank Olivier.
After the performance, veterans of a Bay Area music scene that spanned nearly four decades mingled with sponsors, the event committee and
the Bread & Roses Board of Directors in the Herbst Green Room. |
Net proceeds from this and other events assist Bread & Roses in
bringing more live performances to Bay Area residents who are isolated.
Bread & Roses is a non-profit organization. |
