Bread & Roses hosts a rare screening of the Oscar-nominated documentary "Festival!" as a benefit for the organization's program of live entertainment for isolated audiences in Bay Area institutions.

Filmed by Murray Lerner over four Newport Folk Festivals from 1963 to 1966, "Festival!" captures the richness of the American folk scene at that time like no other document.

The film will be followed by a Q & A session with director Murray Lerner and Joan Baez, hosted by Paul Liberatore of the Marin Independent Journal.

A selection of photos from the 1965 Newport Folk Festival by Andrew deLory, a long-time Bread & Roses volunteer photographer, will also be on display.

You may line up at the theatre, located at 1118 Fourth Street, San Rafael for these last chance tickets. The box office opens at 6 pm.
