Bread & Roses serves more than one hundred social service institutions throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We also have more than one hundred facilities on a waiting list. We do our best to keep a balance as we decide when and where to add more performances and have developed detailed criteria for the selection process for adding new facilities. Audience age, ethnicity, average length of stay, are all carefully considered, along with availability of adequate space and supportive staff at the facility. All our shows are produced by staff with the help of volunteer performers and hosts. Our daily institutional shows are not open to the public; however, we invite our supporters to contact us if they wish to make special arrangements to observe a show. Otherwise, all of our participants at our shows are volunteer performers or hosts.
