"Live In Germany" CD

Benefit CD “Live in Germany” for sale featuring our founder, the late Mimi Fariña, accompanied by Lowell Levinger (Banana from the Youngbloods). Recorded in Germany in 1988 and released for the first time in 2017, the CD was produced by Lowell Levinger and Michael Kleff with all proceeds to benefit Bread & Roses.
 

The songs include many original compositions by Mimi Fariña, with musical arrangements by Lowell Levinger including Best of Friends, Dandelion, Old Woman, Mr. Rudy, Come Get Me Shoes, Deep Feelings, Sad Cities, Mama Tried and Big Party. Other songs on the recording include Children of Darkness by Richard Fariña, I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash, Less Than the Song by Hoyt Axton, If My Eyes were
Blind by David Olney and Defying Gravity by Jesse Winchester.

Hand Stitched Mask

Hand-stitched fabric masks are now available from the Bread & Roses office. These all-cotton masks are triple layered and have varied cotton linings.  The masks are limited edition, machine-washable and have an internal metal nose bridge to enhance fit. Current fabrics feature a lovely rose pattern in either cranberry or fire engine red, as well as a dark grey with a G clef pattern. Both come in medium and large sizes with adjustable black elastic ear loops. Masks can also be ordered in size XL if needed. Masks are designed and hand-stitched by artist Denise Bondy -- owner, designer and maker of www.LiberatingLittleBags.com.

Mimi Fariña giclée print by sister, Joan Baez

A hundred limited-edition archival prints of a portrait of Mimi Fariña by Joan Baez are available from our Corte Madera office for a donation of $1,000. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a piece of Joan’s work, which is highly collectible and increasing in value. Thanks to the generosity of the artist Joan Baez and her exclusive art representative Donna Seager from the Seager-Gray Gallery, all proceeds from this fundraising initiative will support Bread & Roses Presents ongoing programs.

 

The 27 x 21.875 unframed prints are personally signed and numbered by Joan Baez. The prints are available for pick-up from our office or to ship for an additional charge.

Vintage Posters (Reproduced 2016)

Blast from the past! These classy reproductions of vintage posters from the "Bread & Roses Festival of Music" at the Greek Theatre in 1978 and 1980 will enhance your collection.  The posters are available for purchase, and include performers of note like Neil Young, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Etta James, and more! Proceeds support our ongoing program.
