This is an unprecedented moment in the history of Bread & Roses.  We are expanding our program as we continually adapt to the changing conditions of the pandemic.

 

We have dedicated over 45 years to providing free, live music to those who are isolated in Bay Area institutional settings. We are doing all we can to ensure the well-being of our audiences, volunteers and all in our collective community of supporters. We are maintaining the vibrancy of our mission as we move forward with a new hybrid program model.

 

We are so proud and grateful to all who support us – donors, event participants, volunteer performers and hosts. Your extraordinary generosity helped produce an all-time record of over 97,000 audience members served at 522 shows in 132 San Francisco Bay Area facilities in 2021. With your continued dedication, we will continue to bring hope, healing and joy through live music and the performing arts to our isolated Bay Area audiences.

 

We are grateful to continue to serve our isolated audiences of children and youth, adults and seniors in virtual, outdoor and when possible indoor programs. Your support will ensure that we will continue to be there in creative new ways for children who are disadvantaged, teens in detention, adults in shelters and seniors in convalescent centers throughout the year in the Bay Area.
