This is an unprecedented moment in the history of Bread & Roses. We are continuing to evaluate the situation surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic as it evolves on a daily basis and follow the guidelines provided by local, state and federal agencies.
We have dedicated 45 years to providing free, live music to those who are isolated in Bay Area institutional settings. We are doing all we can to ensure the well-being of our audiences, volunteers and all in our collective community of supporters. We are working to maintain the vibrancy of our mission as we prepare for the moment we can jump back in to presenting our full program again. We continue to work remotely and are doing our best to support our audiences with video concerts, our performers by sharing their live-streams on our social media and community with updated news during this time.
We are so proud and grateful to all who support us – donors, event participants, volunteer performers and hosts. Your extraordinary generosity helped produce an all-time record of 653 shows in 2019 in 125 San Francisco Bay Area facilities for audiences of more than 36,000. With your continued dedication, we have faith that we will once again soon be bringing hope, healing and joy through live music and the performing arts to our isolated Bay Area audiences.
We miss the folks we see every day of the year, children and youth, adults and seniors who face challenging times in isolated circumstances. We are all experiencing more isolation. Your support will ensure that as soon as we can, we will be there for children who are disadvantaged, teens in detention, adults in shelters and seniors in memory care those who are isolated throughout the year in Bay Area institutional settings.
Won’t you help us continue to bring the healing power of live music to those who need it most?
