What we do

We produce free, live music and entertainment for Bay Area children, teens, adults, and elders— who don’t have the ability to easily experience the uplifting power of the arts in any other way.

Our performances bring joy to children undergoing chemotherapy, teens battling substance abuse, families in homeless shelters, veterans recovering from trauma, seniors in hospice, and others facing challenging times alone.

We brighten the lives of people living in:

  • Hospitals

  • Day Care Centers

  • Low-income Residences

  • Visually Impaired Centers

  • Drug & Alcohol Recovery

  • Mental Institutions

  • Assisted Living Detention Centers

  • Convalescent Homes

  • AIDS Facilities

  • Special Needs Schools

  • Shelters for the Abused or Homeless

  • Detention Facilities

  • And other agencies

Daily Shows

We are dedicated to uplifting the human spirit by providing free, live, quality entertainment to people who live in institutions or are otherwise isolated from society.

Facilities Served

Last year Bread & Roses volunteers performed more than 600 shows at 125 facilities in eight counties throughout the Bay Area. These performances uplift the spirits of people who are isolated and unable to experience live art and entertainment.

Audiences Served

Bread & Roses Presents serves isolated individuals of all ages by bringing free, live performances to the facilities in which they reside. These individuals can be economically disadvantaged, physically or mentally disabled, or at-risk.
